The fourth edition of the Rough Guide to Vietnam was published in 2003. The information I'm collecting here will feed into the updating process for the fifth edition. I hope that it will also be a useful resource - either in combination with the guide or in its own right.

Please note that information in this section comes from a whole variety of sources (many thanks to all contributors!) and has not yet been verified. Also, things change week by week, particularly in Vietnam. Hotels and restaurants go up and down, some grow lazy on success, others continue the good work. So please keep an open-mind, give new places a chance and don't necessarily believe everything you hear - it's always worth checking things out for yourself.
