Guidebook of the Year The Rough Guide to Japan The purpose of this site is to support the guide books I have written or co-authored for Rough Guides on Japan, Vietnam and the Dordogne & Lot.
In the Update sections you'll find a digest of new information about each destination in preparation for the next edition of the guide. Additional comments and contributions will be gratefully received - and duly acknowledged in the book.
There's also an annotated lists of links for each destination, which I hope will provide a useful jumping-off point for exploring their parallel, virtual worlds.
